Now i have left course and this is no longer being used for a 'assessment' i will be adding stuff that isnt just art related, i'll be writing more posts about me, adding images, videos about other things i like.

Project 2 - Goal Setting

For our second project we are to create a online portfolio/website (hand-coded)

One task today was to set 6 goals for our project
Here are mine:
Technical goals

• Learn the techniques of coding quickly and know it well by the end of it
• Learn how to add gallery

Design goals

• Stick to a set colour scheme, no random colours that dont fit
• Plan out website well early on with many different design possibilities

Other

• Maintain good time management (dont leave stuff to last minute)
• Do self-directed study whenever possible

SEO technique

One of the techniques i found was 'image descriptions.'
As 'spiders' search text really well it is important to put a sufficient amount of text and a detailed description of what the image is so it is easier to find when searched for.

This technique will be very beneficial for my blog as i post alot of images and photos, as one of my main interests and main purpose for this blog is photography.

Changing background

My original background was just a plain dark grey colour

My first background change was just a pink image, this was the outcome

I decided i didn't really like the brightness of the pink, i think a darker colour might look better

I changed back to a default Blogspot background for now but i intend to change it into my own image eventually.
